Leverkusen. Bayer MaterialScience completed its acquisition of the Ure-Tech Group, Taiwan, on July 1, 2007. The move has made the company the world’s largest supplier of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) resins and films. The Asia-Pacific market for TPU is assumed to be growing at a rate of roughly 10 percent a year. Bayer MaterialScience will relocate the global headquarters of its Thermoplastic Polyurethanes (TPU) business unit to Hong Kong effective October 1, 2007.
